Description
Flicker Assembly is used on all stripping tools featuring special heat dissipating element posts. It is designed to be operated by a thumb immediately after the strip is completed to remove (flick off) the wedged-in slug in the stripping element.
The flicker can be removed and installed on the opposite element post and used in reverse action. Operated by an index finger, it can be used to push the wire into the heated section of the stripping element. The Wire Stop is also switched to the opposite stud and adjusted up and down the stud to determine the correct resting position of the flicker arm. This method is used mostly on Models PTS-30S/40s and 300S or when stripping very small wires using PTS-30/40/300 tools.
Correct operation of the Flicker Assembly can be viewed in our wire stripping video section.
