PKR-1 Wire & Cable Stripper is a Precision and Extremely Versatile hand operated cable stripping tool.  It is designed to strip insulation ranging from .150″ to .750″ OD. It can strip a larger variety of wires and cables than any other wire stripping tool available.  It will remove any type of insulation at any length, including window strips.

The design incorporates interchangeable dies and cutters.  Stock dies are available in .050″ increments such as .300″, .350″, .400″, etc. The cutters are manufactured in colors matching the resistor color bands used in electronics. Each color represents the length of a protruding razor point.

The range of Razor Point Lengths on standard cutters is from .020″ to .100″ in .010″ increments and on custom cutters (Pink color at $13 per 5pc. pack) from .110” to .210” also in .010” increments.

There are 13 standard dies available. Each die features keyway assuring the correct alignment of the die in relation to the cutter. A thumb screw is provided to retain the die in place. On the top of each die are 2 guide channels which vary in size according to each die size. The guide with grooves is designed for radial cut and the smooth guide is for an axial cut. The channel grooving helps to stabilize the tool while being rotated around the cable. The cutter is spring loaded with variable tension adjustment knob. This will allow the user to adjust the cutter pressure on the cable according to the hardness of the wire or cable insulation.
