Description

There are 13 standard dies available. Each die features key-way assuring the correct alignment of the die in relation to the cutter. A thumb screw is provided to retain the die in place. On the top of each die are 2 guide channels which vary in size according to each die size. The guide with grooves is designed for radial cut and the smooth guide is for an axial cut. The channel grooving helps to stabilize the tool while being rotated around the cable.

HOW TO SELECT THE CORRECT STOCK DIE?

Measure the O.D. of the cable you need to strip. The selected die must be the same or larger than the measured O.D. to prevent wedging of the cable into the die radius.

P/N 0002-………… followed by Cable Stock Die (Size in inches)
(Example: P/N 0002-.500 is recommended for the Cable Size ranging from .451” to .501” OD and Stock Die P/N 0002-.350 ranging from .301” to .351 OD)

WHAT IS O.D.?

O.D.: The abbreviation for the “Outside Diameter” dimension that is used to measure the diameter of a cable.
